Hello, and welcome to Crow Island!  I hope you are able to find many unique

and engaging stories with us.  I have worked hard to develop a framework

that promotes a warm, welcoming, inclusive environment for all people behind the

characters.  On the flip side, for our characters on the screen, I have enjoyed providing

a dark, dirty, dangerous background story, and an equally savage environment

through which we can become carried away in our imaginations - hopefully always

finding our characters in the middle of something exciting to write about!

I joined second life in 2007, and over my time in world I have been fortunate to enjoy

many roleplay communities.  While most of them had many positive attributes, I

would always make a mental note of things I personally liked and didn't like about roleplaying or managing those worlds and have used that knowledge in the creation of my own vision for an ideal roleplay community.

My greatest hope is that the environment and background I have created fosters a community that is uniquely excited about new players joining in.  That seasoned players will always find reasons to interact and welcome newcomers, assisting them with getting their stories off to a great start right away.  

 

The background story for Crow Island also allows me to eliminate many roles that often create a lot of actual work for players, such as police, fire, hospitals and other government jobs.  This was an important goal for me, as I have always felt that the majority of people would prefer to focus on roleplay rather than completing tasks to document roleplay of others.
